Meinhardt provided civil and structural engineering services for this development, which comprises the main railway interchange for four different railway systems, servicing West Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang. The development incorporates a train depot and maintenance facilities as well as a major transfer deck of 33,000 square metres, constructed over railway lines for the future commercial development.
Planned development on this deck includes twin eight-storey carparks, clubhouses and four towers of 30 storeys high. The existing railway tracks, running through the construction site, were being utilised throughout the construction period and were re-aligned accordingly as construction proceeded.
