Finance Assistant

Role Purpose and Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in maintaining a full set of accounts;
  • Perform month-end accounts on time;
  • Prepare payment vouchers;
  • Key-in payment vouchers, invoices, journal and receipt transactions to QuickBook accounting system;
  • Reconcile bank reconciliation;
  • Process monthly staff claims;
  • Account Payable and Receivable reconciliation;
  • Inter-company reconciliation;
  • Process invoice to clients/inter-company;
  • Assist with pursuing overdue debtors;
  • Maintain petty cash records;
  • Assist in banking processes of cheques and payment to statutory bodies;
  • Assist the Finance Manager in year-end audit exercise and any ad-hoc work.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accountancy or equivalent
  • Min 3 years of Finance/Accounting experience
  • Possess experience and background in a multi-business unit environment
  • Familiar with local finance/tax regulations
  • Meticulous with good interpersonal skills
