HSSE Supervisor

Meinhardt EPCM is a subsidiary of the Meinhardt Group related to the Construction Industry

Role Purpose and Key Accountabilities

Interface with other trades and contractors as required, to ensure a good relationship & communications on HSE matters.
Review HSSE related documentation
Lead HSSE initiatives and communication/coordination groups to share HSSE learning and ensure consistent standards and application.
Resolve minor HSSE issues at site level, recording issues for future learning/trends, and raise major issues for greater awareness and resolution at higher levels if required
HSSE reporting and participation/leading investigations of accidents/incidents.
Assist in co-ordinating with Management, Owners, Contractors and local government authorities on all HSE matters.
Undertake and lead incident investigations and to ensure investigation is closed in time.
Updating on the current HSSE trend and best practices and implement on site
Performing as Environment Control Officer (ECO) Noise control officer as required by the Authority
Updating and ensuring that all safety procedures are up to date and conforms to Singapore and International Standards.
Assist in the implementation, review and improving the Safety Management System.
Conducting and Managing Internal Audits (Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and closeout as per the schedule).
Any other duties assigned by the HSE Manager.


Experience / Qualifications

Bachelor in EHS/ Engineering + 5 or more years of relevant experience; or
Diploma in EHS/Engineering + 7 or more years of relevant experience
Environmental Control Officer certification/Noise Control Officer
Possess strong leadership & interpersonal skill and able to work under pressure
Good knowledge of HSSE legislationsLeadership and communication skills
Knowledge of OHSAS, ISO 14001 & SMS Audit system implementation
Knowledge on auditing skill
Knowledge on report writing & incident investigation & analytical skills
Knowledge on management skill
Computer literate & good presentation skill
Knowledge on fire-fighting engineering
Knowledge on marine engineering science
Knowledge on chemical engineering science

Act in accordance with industry/professional ethics maintaining professionalism at all time
Contribution and effort is aligned to organisational objectives
Comply with all company HSE systems and procedures relevant to the role, in accordance with local documented HSE responsibilities and accountabilities. No work related injuries, illnesses or adverse environmental outcomes due to incorrect or inadequate application of systems or procedures
Participate in performance development discussions with manager initiating and managing own personal development with all CPD requirements met
Work co-operatively and collaboratively willingly accepting share of workload and helping others when required
Other duties as directed
