Situated along the River Thames, One Tower Bridge is a prestigious development which offers its residents captivating waterfront views.

The development includes 9 residential blocks along with cultural and retail space constructed above a single-storey basement situated on a prime piece of real estate bound by Tower Bridge and the Thames in central London.

The planning application includes 484,121 sq.ft. of residential floor space, made up of 356 residential units, and 70,547 sq.ft. of cultural space. A further 18,374 sq.ft. will be dedicated to commercial space. The site will comprise nine blocks up to 11 storeys high and one 20 slender storey tower referred to as a ‘Campanile’. The plans also include 86,187 sq.ft. of communal and private amenity space, which includes the extension and improvement of Potters Fields Park.

Engineering challenges include the incorporation and extension of an existing basement and foundations situated over part of the site, retention of the adjacent listed structures, adaptable designs for the cultural space, and the design for the phased installation of the services across the site including the district CHP plant.

BIM features on the One Tower Bridge Project include:

  • 3D Views, demotion phasing and construction sequencing used to express design intent.
  • Over 700 piles parametrically modelled and subsequently scheduled with design loads, cut off levels and Coordinates.
  • MEP/Struct 3D clash detection used to resolve conflicts within restricted access and confined areas.
  • Modelling of existing Tower Bridge Reservoir from survey data allowed greater understanding of the basement intricacies and relationship to fragile Historical structures.
