For example, Meinhardt Middle East was recently appointed the Lead Designer for the region’s largest Data Centre. The Jebel Ali Earth Station A Data Center (JADC) located in Dubai, has a Built-up area of 26000 sqm, accommodates an IT Rack load of 12.48 MW within a white space of 4,000 sqm (half a soccer field), spread in eight clusters.
The project crossed a significant milestone recently when the facility’s design was certified Tier III from the Uptime Institute - the IT industry’s most trusted and adopted global standard for the proper design, build and operation of data centres. The certification provides a stamp of assurance to the company’s looking to store their mission-critical data at the JADC.
This was achieved through an innovative energy-efficient design that ensures concurrently maintainable Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems with redundant capacity components and multiple distribution paths, enabling uninterrupted operations during equipment maintenance, removal and replacement.
